ABOUT SURVIVOR ALLIANCE INSTITUTE
The Survivor Alliance Institute is a multi-tiered leadership development ecosystem that supports people who have experienced human trafficking in growing as leaders within the anti-trafficking sector. Building on Survivor Alliance's Leadership Academy, the Institute offers a blend of live virtual cohort-based learning and self-directed engagement, with a focus on leadership development, community building, and shared learning. The Institute serves participants across U.S., Global, organizational, and self-directed pathways, and is designed to scale to serve up to 240 participants annually by 2030.
A core component of the Institute is the Collective Practice Lab (CPL), a structured, trauma-informed group space that supports participants in reflecting on and integrating their learning, navigating challenges at the intersection of lived experience and professional practice, and building peer connections. While healing often happens through CPL participation, CPL is not therapy and is not a service provider-to-recipient relationship; it is a professional development and integration space for participants engaged with the Institute.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Collective Practice Lab Facilitator is responsible for co-leading CPL group sessions for SA Institute participants and providing trauma-informed facilitation. The CPL Facilitator must deeply understand the effects of trauma and how they show up in professional spaces, and work collaboratively with participants to recognize and navigate these dynamics with appropriate professional boundaries. In each session, the CPL Facilitator opens space, provides education, and explores tools and resources with participants to navigate the effects of trauma in professional settings. Rather than providing therapy, the CPL Facilitator creates a safe-enough space where participants can draw on their own strategies for working environments, while also processing topic-specific challenges in real time alongside peers.
Shadowing and Onboarding (July 2026 – December 2026). During this period, the CPL Facilitator will shadow the current CPL cohort being delivered as part of the Leadership Academy, observing facilitation methodology, participating in onboarding training, and engaging in regular debriefs. The CPL Facilitator will also participate in SA Institute meetings with staff and complete administrative onboarding tasks. This phase is designed to build the Facilitator's familiarity with Survivor Alliance's CPL approach before stepping into a co-lead facilitation role.
Co-Lead Facilitation (January 2027 – June 2027). During this period, the Facilitator will co-lead CPL sessions with the SA Institute Director for cohort participants, conducting two-hour group CPL sessions twice per month, preparing thoroughly for each session, and participating in staff coordination.
The CPL Facilitator coordinates closely with the Program Director throughout the contract period, with the Program Manager serving as a secondary point of contact.
