Required (for All Applicants)

  • Be a person with lived experience of human trafficking and/or modern slavery. This includes experiences such as forced migration, domestic servitude, or sexual slavery.

**Please note, private or public identification are both respected**

  • Demonstrated interest in leadership in anti-trafficking work. Examples of anti-trafficking work include:

    • Direct services such as case management work, housing or legal services

    • Community or school awareness campaigns to combat exploitation

    • Leading survivor support programs 

    • Research or advocacy on trafficking-related issues 

    • Volunteerism, consulting, or organizing specifically focused on human trafficking or survivor leadership 

  • Basic computer skills and online learning skills, such as:

    •  Using email

    • Joining video calls

    • Creating and saving documents

    • Using chat functions

    • Downloading files

    • Comfortable navigating online learning platforms (for example: logging in with a password, clicking into lessons, watching videos, posting in discussion boards, etc.)


Self directed learning path requirements

Ideal for applicants who are:

  • Interested in a self-directed learning path to deepen knowledge and strengthen leadership in the anti-trafficking/anti-slavery sector

  • Comfortable with self-paced online learning

  • Motived to build practical leadership skills at their own pace 

  • Looking for structured modules and tools to support ongoing leadership development

Focus: 

An interest in strengthening leadership skills at your own pace, whether refreshing foundational knowledge or building on existing experience. The self-directed track offers space to develop confidence, practical tools, and explore systems change strategies in the anti-trafficking/anti-slavery sector. 

Participant Expectations: 

  • Ability to read, speak, and communicate in English

  • Willingness to apply new knowledge and skills within the anti-trafficking/anti-slavery sector

  • Willingness to commit to six months worth of online, self-directed learning

  • Open to applicants residing in or outside of the U.S.
