Survivor Alliance World Congress
July 26 - 30, 2021 // Online

July 26 - 30, 2021 // convening online

The World Congress will bring together survivors of human trafficking and slavery from around the world to build a survivor movement. The entire event will be designed and facilitated by survivor leaders and a few key allies.

By the end of the World Congress, we will:

  1. Develop an action plan to increase survivor leadership in the global anti-slavery movement.

  2. Increase the capacity of survivors to engage in trans-national collaborations

  3. Increase the capacity of allies to engage with survivors as peers

The first 3.5 days of the event is of, by, and for survivors.

These closed-session survivor convenings will allow people with lived experience to build trust and rapport, speak frankly, and envision a world where survivors are leaders of the anti-modern slavery movement.

The final 1.5 days is by survivors, for allies.

Allies and survivors will collaborate to discuss barriers to survivor leadership and develop viable solutions.

So many survivors being in contact with each other is very exciting. Imagine what we could do if we all came together.

Information for Potential Sponsors

We are very grateful to our current sponsor The Anti-Slavery Collective (TASC).

We also want to thank the University of Nottingham’s Rights Lab for covering the cost of travel for survivor leaders. We are seeking additional sponsors to help us pay for accommodation, conference supplies, audio/visual aid, and mental health support during the event. If you are interested, please be in touch with our conference planning team.
